I can’t say enough positive things about Christian Fick and Nitro Recruiting for their help with the recruiting process with my son Nate. From the first phone call (he literally spent an hour on the phone w/ me explaining how and why Nitro made sense for a kid like Nate, in particular), Christian has been in my son’s corner as he moved from unknown, undersized, glove-first, middle infielder to Freshman All-American D1 shortstop last year.

It is not hyperbole to say that Christian Fick is one of 4 or 5 most baseball career-influential people that Nate ever met. Nitro knew immediately which college coaches would (and just as importantly, which wouldn’t) have interest in a 5’9” 150-pound “gamer”. Within a couple weeks of signing on with Nitro, we were talking with coaches across the D3 to D1 spectrum as my son was starting up his sophomore season at Calabasas High School. Christian was in contact frequently with both my son and with us (parents) to help better understand the process and debrief or prepare for what contacts/conversations with coaches would be like and what to expect. As this was all brand new to us at the time, it was hugely appreciated and helpful. My son committed to a D1 program within 2 months of signing up with Nitro and we were super happy with that decision. As my son’s performance on the field, in high school and club ball, drew more attention and acclaim, Christian was also very helpful in navigating the complex and confusing process of possibly re-opening his commitment, especially as the school he’d committed to lost their coaching staff.

He helped guide Nate (and family) through all steps of the process and even provided some valuable information when it came time to negotiating amount of scholarship award. My son and I are still in contact with Christian, often, as his baseball journey continues. I can’t thank Nitro (Christian Fick) enough for helping to shape that journey.
